Scarves and Stoles
Our scarves and stoles are made of vintage sari fabric or high quality light silk. These will make you stand out!
Kantha sari scarves are made of two vintage saris stitched together with kantha embroidery, which is a traditional stitching practice in certain parts of India, e.g. Bengal.
Two layers of recycled silk sari fabric matched together and covered in fine, hand-embroidered kantha stitch. Name of artisan embroidered in the corner. One of a kind and a zero waste product. Embroidered by a women's cooperative in West Bengal.
Shibori Silk Scarves
Light chanderi silk-cotton blend, patterned using shibori. The shibori is hand dyed by a women's Self Help Group in Rajasthan; the fabric is folded, machine stitched and dyed. The stitched areas resist the dye, resulting in beautiful and simple geometric patterns. Finished with machine rolled-edges and scalloped detailing.
